Police: Stony Point man fails to face animal abuse charges

Posted: Updated:

A Stony Point man, facing animal abuse charges, has been arrested again.

Police say 76-year-old Jerome Louis Alder was charged last year after police found 21 dogs living in his small home that was deemed unsanitary.

They also found at least 5 dead dogs in the home.

He was arrested again Thursday after failing to appear in court on those charges.

He's now being held in Rockland County jail on $25,000 bond.
