Forecast: Rain soaks LI ahead of weekend chill

Heavy rain soaked Long Island during the Friday evening rush, ahead of this weekend's temperature cool-down.

Street flooding is possible from the rain. The National Weather Service posted flash flood watches and coastal flood advisories for parts of the Island through tonight.

News 12 meteorologists say the rain should taper after midnight, with gradually clearing and windy conditions toward Saturday morning.

They say Saturday will be mostly sunny and windy, with highs in the mid-40s and nighttime lows around 32 degrees.

Lots of sunshine is expected on Sunday, although temperatures should remain cool.
