NEW ROCHELLE -

A message of hate was found inside a New Rochelle school on Wednesday.

Officials say a swastika was drawn on the wall in the boys locker room at New Rochelle High School.

The picture of the symbol was posted on Twitter.

Rabbi Evan Hoffman, of Congregation Anshe, says the district should educate their students on the severity of anti-Semitism, including vandalism, especially at a time when anti-Semitism is on the rise and following the recent mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue.

News 12 was told that the person responsible could face suspension.
