Firefighters rushed to the scene of an Armonk bus garage that burst into flames Friday night for the second time in three months.
The flames gutted five buses at Byram Hills Bus Garage and damaged the surrounding the fence.
The fire chief says the blaze had spread dramatically by the time crews arrived on scene.
A school play was going on nearby, putting parked vehicles at risk. But crews managed to quell the flames before it spread there.
In early August, three school buses at the MacDonald Avenue lot caught fire. That fire was deemed accidental.
