WHITE PLAINS -

Resurfaced video from 2016 led to the arrest of a former gym teacher and assistant football coach at Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains.

Attorney Jared Rice says he was provided with the video from his client's family.

The video, which was obtained by News 12, shows an adult hitting a young player in a high school locker room on two separate occasions.

Court documents identify the man in the video as Sheddrick Wilson, who has resigned from his post at the school.

"The resignation, which became effective immediately, followed Wilson learning that he had been accused of an allegation of child endangerment from the 2016-2017 school year," spokesperson Frank Pagani said in a statement.

Rice says Wilson was arraigned on Friday.

A spokesperson for the high school says law enforcement has not yet contacted school officials regarding the allegations. But they are willing to cooperate with any investigation.
