SLEEPY HOLLOW -

A 9-year boy was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Sleepy Hollow this morning.

Police say the boy was struck hit around 7 a.m. on Depeyster Street, near Clinton Street. They say the driver of a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Honda Accord, got out of the car, looked at the child and then took off.

The boy’s mother tells News 12 he was on his way to get a snack at a market before taking the bus to school, when he got hit on the right side of his body.

She says he was taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
