A Brooklyn street was renamed after a woman who was fatally shot while shielding children.
Zurana Horton was killed in October 2011 on Watkins Street right near P.S. 268. That street is now named Zurana Horton Way.
Family, friends, police and the 34-year-old's 12 children attended the unveiling of the new sign.
Horton's mother, Denise Peace Horton, says she misses her daughter but was happy to see people celebrate her life.
"It touches my heart...nobody will forget her for what she did," Denise says.
Horton's convicted killer, Andrew Lopez, was sentenced to 55 years to life in prison.
