Dozens of high school students toured the National Grid training center Tuesday in Melville.

They watched live demonstrations and checked out various stations, including the mechanical lab and gas operations.

The teens also attended a career fair.

The tour was part of a nationwide and weeklong event to increase the public’s awareness about careers in energy.
