NEW ROCHELLE -

A man who worked a part-time cleaning job at an elementary school has been arrested and charged with forcible touching, but few details have been released on the case.

Police have identified the suspect as 24-year-old Raphael De Souza, of Yonkers. He worked at Columbus Elementary School in New Rochelle.

School officials say they called police as soon as the incident was reported. De Souza is now suspended and is no longer allowed on any campus within the district.

New Rochelle police haven't released much information about the investigation and the circumstances that prompted it.

Parents were notified by the district about the incident Friday afternoon. Some are now calling for more action.

"My kids are supposed to come to school and feel safe," says Robin Mitchell.

It is not clear at this time who the alleged victim was and where the incident happened.
