YONKERS -

Officers across the Hudson Valley participated in ‘National Coffee with a Cop’ day Wednesday.

The day is meant to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community.

Yonkers police stepped away from their precincts for a couple of hours Wednesday morning to participate in the day.

The officers listened and spoke to residents at the McLean Corner Café about issues that affect their neighborhoods.

This is the third year the Yonkers Police Department has sponsored this initiative.
