Threat closes Monticello school district

MONTICELLO -

A school district in the Hudson Valley is closed today because of a threat made on social media.

The Monticello school district made the announcement to cancel classes late last night.

Officials say someone posted a black box on Instagram saying "I am going to shoot up Monticello High School, middle school, elementary school."

The threat had today's date on it and said "Get Ready!"

Police are investigating.
