A Long Island man is accused of threatening to shoot a child following his loss to the boy during a video game.
Michael Aliperti, of Huntington, was arrested at his home around 1:40 a.m.
Police say an 11-year-old Kings Park boy reported that the 45-year-old sent him threatening text and voice messages after the boy beat him during a game of Fortnite.
In the messages, which were allegedly sent via Xbox Monday night, police say Aliperti threatened to shoot the child, possibly at his school in Kings Park.
Aliperti was being arraigned Tuesday on charges of aggravated harassment and acting in a manner to injure a child.
