WWII vet builds dollhouse to raise funds for New City firefighterPosted: Updated:
A World War II veteran from New Jersey is donating a dollhouse he built in an effort to raise funds for a New City firefighter.
Tom Kneeshaw, who was born in 1919, says he has been building dollhouses for a long time.
He is donating the dollhouse to help raise money for Will McCue.
The 19-year-old was hospitalized back in January for the flu, which developed into pneumonia and sepsis. Doctors had to amputate both of his hands, his left foot and right leg.
The Red Knights Association along with the New City Fire Department will auction off the dollhouse at their annual fundraiser to help McCue and his family.
Kneeshaw's message to McCue and to anyone else who's fallen on hard times is “you can always do something.”
