Motorcyclist dies in New Rochelle crash

NEW ROCHELLE -

The family and friends of a motorcyclist who died in New Rochelle on Sunday are remembering his life.

Police say Jordan Chin was riding eastbound on the North Avenue overpass when he crashed into a pole just before 2 p.m.

The 21-year-old was transported to New Rochelle Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Chin's grandmother Veida Hall says she had a spiritual feeling that when she saw him Saturday, it would be for the last time.

"I just keep picturing him before me and something telling me that something was going to go wrong," says Hall.

Chin had bought the motorcycle only days before the crash.

Hall says what she will miss the most is having the luxury of seeing her grandson, who lived across the street, every day.

Neighbors described Chin as a polite man who would always speak to those he knew whenever he saw them.
