Law school bans disposable plastic from campus

WHITE PLAINS -

Pace Law School is doing away with plastic.

The university implemented measures this week to eliminate the use of plastic in its cafeteria.

The cafeteria is now offering paper straws and encouraging the use of china and metal utensils.

It's estimated that by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by weight.

The university also plans to add more water bottle refill stations.

Officials say they will implement the changes to its campuses in Pleasantville and Manhattan by 2019.
