Westchester native dies hiking in WA

A man who grew up in Westchester has died while hiking in the state of Washington.
James Rothwell, who was raised in Mount Pleasant, was hiking Buck Mountain when the county sheriff's office says he lost his footing and fell about 50 feet.
According to the county coroner, the 43-year-old died of blunt force trauma to his head and body. His death has been ruled an accident.
Wake services will take place this week at the Hawthorne Funeral Home.
