Open Door Family Medical Center offers free health screenings

The Hudson Valley kicked off National Health Center Week early with free health screenings at a medical center in Mamaroneck Saturday.
The Open Door Family Medical Center hosted a health care fair that offered free health screenings to all patient attendees.
Medical Director Daniela Diaz says the screening included breast exams, as well as vision, blood pressure, glucose and HIV testing -- all of which costs hundreds of dollars at a typical hospital.
Sonyo Satchell tells News 12 she is so thankful to have a local center that helps her take advantage of preventative care without fronting such a large bill.
Open Door tells News 12 Westchester that while the fair only lasts one day, it is their mission to provide affordable, quality health care for low-income families all year long - and they are proud to say they are now seeing 57,000 patients in Westchester and Putnam Counties.
