A Mount Vernon man has been found guilty of attempting to rob a Yonkers home.

Sidney Lane was charged in the violent attempted robbery in Yonkers last summer.

Officials say Lane entered a home on Underhill Street where the residents were home at the time. Police say Lane then pulled out a gun and demanded money.

Lane faces life behind bars when he is sentenced in October.
