Needy families get access to free diapers in Westchester

ELMSFORD -

Hundreds of needy families in Westchester now have access to free diapers.

Feeding Westchester in Elmsford received a shipment of about 170,000 donated diapers and are distributing them to needy families throughout the area.

"We put the diapers into a one-week supply and distribute them to people throughout the county who give us applications. So without volunteer help...we wouldn't be able to manage it. We just don't have enough people. So we are very reliant on volunteers to help,” says Wendy Armstrong, of the Westchester County Diaper Bank.

Armstrong says they offer needy families the no-cost diapers to help alleviate some financial stress.
