GOSHEN -

A Goshen woman was found guilty of abusing animals.

Nine dead horses were found on Jeanne Ryan's farm last year. According to the Orange County district attorney, another was also found mistreated.

Prosecutors say Ryan subjected 10 horses to "aggravated cruelty" between March 2016 and July 2017. Aggravated cruelty is defined as conduct that either caused the animals extreme pain or was carried out in a sadistic manner.

Ryan is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
