A Wilton woman is accused of leaving her pet in a dangerously hot car.
According to Greenwich police, 56-year-old Linda Scalley left a black Labrador in a cage in the back of an SUV in the Cos Cob section of town.
They say the dog was left alone for about 30 minutes, and starting to show the signs of being overcome by the heat.
Police say the window of the car was open a crack, but it wasn't nearly enough to keep the dog cool.
The dog is expected to be OK.
