Police ID man found dead in Yonkers who was shot multiple times

The body of a man found dead near Tuckahoe Road in Yonkers had been shot multiple times, according to police.

Authorities say the body of a man in his mid-30s was reported by a passer-by shortly after 8 a.m Monday in a wooded area near the I-87 overpass.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the man's body in the grass of the eastbound shoulder of Tuckahoe Road. The man was dead when officers arrived, and it is still unknown how long he had been deceased.

The victim was identified as Brian Brain, a 35-year-old resident of Queens, New York. 

Police say it is an active investigation with detectives collecting forensic evidence, looking at surveillance video and interviewing witnesses.
