YONKERS -

A Yonkers man has been indicted for assaulting a police officer, according to Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino, Jr.

In April 2017, police say they were called to a house on Browning Avenue and Mildred Street and found Ilir Ugrinaj brandishing a switchblade.

The indictment alleges Ugrinaj, 27, menaced the officers and injured one of them.

Ugrinaj has been charged with assault and menacing a police officer and is scheduled to be back in court at the end of the month.
