RAMAPO -

Three men are under arrest after they were allegedly found with handguns, rifles and ammunition in Rockland County over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, police say they received a report of gunshots in a wooded area of Creelman Road in the Village of Hillburn, which is part of Ramapo.

Investigators say three men from New Jersey, all in their 20s, were found with handguns, rifles, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, various firearm equipment and marijuana.

The men have been identified as 22-year-old Dominic Borghetti, 23-year-old Nicolas Cianciaruso and 26-year-old David Lamela.

Police say it was lucky that no one was hit by any stray bullets.

The three suspects were arraigned and taken to Rockland County Jail, where they are being held on $50,000 bail each.

The three men are due back in the Village of Hillburn Justice Court July 12.
