Police are seeking the public's help in finding the suspect who attacked and sexually assaulted an 89-year-old woman in Nanuet.

According to police, the woman lives in Normandy Village and seemed to be out in the middle of the night, possibly disoriented from memory loss before the attack.

They say they believe it happened at the intersection of College Avenue and First Street sometime between late Tuesday and early Wednesday morning.

Detective Pete Walker says the victim has been released from the hospital and is staying with family.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 845-639-5840.
