Turn to Tara investigation spurs action on affordable housing crisis

A Turn to Tara investigation into the shortage of affordable housing options in Westchester is prompting action.

Several top government leaders took notice and now are proposing ways to help some of the most vulnerable county residents.

The topic and Tara Rosenblum's probe was headlined at the recent annual meeting for seniors at the Westchester County Center.

Solutions discussed were a soon-to-be created housing advisory committee made up of developers, senior advocates and religious leaders.

The new matched housing program started training community and faith-based organizations on how to connect seniors who want to stay in their homes but can't afford to with other seniors looking to pay more affordable rents.
