Habitat For Humanity nears 100 home milestone in Newburgh

Volunteers for Habitat For Humanity are nearing an important milestone in Orange County.
The volunteers are rehabbing several vacant homes in Newburgh to turn into affordable housing. Once completed, the non-profit will have rehabbed 100 homes in the city.
More than a third of Newburgh's residents are living in poverty and the city has nearly 800 abandoned homes.
Crews are gutting six buildings on William Street for a total overhaul. They'll eventually become owner-occupied affordable housing.
The homes were gifted to Habitat for Humanity by the Newburgh Land Bank.
