The search is on for a missing veteran in Suffolk.

Police say 69-year-old Harold Nelson left a Veterans home in Riverhead Thursday morning for an appointment at the Northport V-A.

News 12 is told he was in touch with the staff until 7 p.m. that night, but never made it home.

Investigators say Nelson's vision is impaired and he uses a walking stick.
