WALLKILL -

The Pennsylvania man who accidentally fired a gun in the Galleria Mall in Wallkill will not go to jail.

Michael Perez-Rodriguez was sentenced to probation for three years and 100 hours of community service.

In November, the 27-year-old's gun went off outside of the American Eagle store, sending the mall into chaos.

Bullet fragments hit a woman and her son. He's also ordered to pay $1,800 in restitution to the two people injured.
