Business Briefs: Sears, McDonald's, Draftkings

Sears is expanding its auto partnership with Amazon. The company has been using its Auto Centers to help install and balance tires ordered on Amazon.com. The service is more than doubling since its launch last month. It will now be available at more than 100 Sears locations.

McDonald’s is holding a town hall to explain its latest round of job cuts. In a memo, the company president says despite layoffs, remaining workers will now have more support from the company. McDonald’s will send additional resources to key areas like technology and field consulting. Employees will be made aware if they will be losing their jobs by June 29.

The fantasy sports site DraftKings has filed for its licensing in New Jersey. The site hopes to start taking bets in Atlantic City resorts by the beginning of the NFL season. DraftKings is reportedly looking to raise up to $200 million to build their sports betting business.
