A fast-moving fire destroyed a house in Putnam County on Sunday.
Fire officials say the flames sparked around 4 p.m. on Hortontown Road in Kent, close to the Dutchess County border. The Kent Fire Department posted pictures on Facebook showing the intense flames.
There were no fire hydrants in the area, so water had to be shuttled in on tanker trucks.
There are no reports of injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
