State suspends Wallkill bar’s liquor license after string of violence

The State Liquor Authority suspended an Orange County's bar's liquor license after a couple of violent incidents.
Authorities say two separate fights outside of JD's Sports Bar and Lounge in Wallkill last month led to one person being stabbed and another shot.
Police continue to investigate, but in the meantime the bar has been temporarily suspended from serving alcohol.
JD's Sports Bar and Lounge is now accused of 12 violations. According to an SLA release, the violations include failure to immediately report incidents to police.
Although the bar posted about several events as recently as Wednesday, doors were locked Friday.
News 12 reached out to the bar's owner or management for comments and has not heard back.
