The focus of this year's Puerto Rican Day Parade will be the island territory's ongoing recovery from Hurricane Maria.

The theme is "Un Pueblo, Muchas Voces."

Culture will remain at the heart of the parade, but the resiliency of the Puerto Rican people will also be recognized, especially in the wake of the devastating hurricane.

People and groups helping to rebuild the island will be among the honorees during the procession down Fifth Avenue between 44th and 79th streets in Manhattan.

Other honorees include former Yankees Jorge Posada and Carlos Beltran and TV host Sunny Hostin, as well as musicians, journalists and educators.

For the second year in a row, 100 students were each awarded a scholarship of $2,000 on Thursday.

This Saturday, organizers will host a cultural festival on 152nd Street in the Bronx.

The parade is set for 11 a.m. on June 10.
