A Norwood bar is serving up a dish that pays tribute to someone who helped in its success.

Catering to young professionals, Lexa Bar & Garden on East 204th Street offers a mixed menu -- with pizza, burgers, mixed drinks and hookah.

But there's one dish that the restaurant says you can't find anywhere else, its Aponte chicken mixta, which is a toston that's served with either chicken or shrimp and guacamole.

The late Jose Aponte was a known neighborhood man who helped families moving into the community. Lexa co-owner Axel Morales was on the receiving end of that, and years later decided to pay homage to Aponte by naming the dish after him.

Locals say it's a taste of their childhood.
