Gymnastics coach accused of molesting 5 young students

A gymnastics coach was arrested for allegedly molesting students in Suffern.

Joseph Lewin, 67, was arrested after five of his former gymnastics students told police that he molested them. Lewin has operated several gymnastics facilities in Rockland, including Joe's Gym.

Police say the abuse took place between 2001 and 2014, when all the victims were under the age of 13

Lewin faces five counts of a course of sex conduct charge and one charge of sex abuse of a child.

Lewin is currently out of jail on $10,000 bail.

Lewin is a tumbling instructor at the Mania training facility in Stony Point.  The facility released a statement on Facebook Thursday saying in light of the charges, Lewin has been suspended.
