Former Pelham Village trustee gets no jail time in child porn case

PELHAM -

A former Pelham Village trustee will receive no jail time despite pleading guilty to child porn charges.

Christopher Reim was sentenced to two separate 10-year probations on two counts of promoting and possessing child porn.

The 51-year-old husband and father of one was arrested in May of last year and pleaded guilty this February. Reim resigned as a Pelham Village trustee right after he was arrested.

Prosecutors say a search of Reim's home computer indicated he possessed images of sexual performances by children.

In court Tuesday, a remorseful Reim took responsibility for what he described as his "impulsive actions."

"I let down my family and my neighbors," Reim said. "Because we rely on each other to do the right thing."

Reim's two 10-year probations will run concurrently. He also has to register as a sex offender.
