4th-graders re-enact American Revolution

PLEASANTVILLE -

Students in Pleasantville spent the day re-enacting the Revolutionary War Wednesday.

Over 100 fourth-grade students from the Bedford Road School took part in Revolutionary War Day, with activities that included tent making, field medicine, drumming and drilling.

Each student looked authentic, as teachers received grants for costumes that are used every year.

Organizers say that re-enacting helps the kids live history instead of just reading about it from a textbook.
