Pothole-filled roads to get $100 million makeoverPosted: Updated:
Some Hudson Valley roads are getting repairs after a harsh winter.
Hillside Avenue between Virginia Road and Tarrytown Road in North White Plains is just one of many roads which is in need of maintenance.
The area is getting a $1.7 million makeover.
The project is part of the Gov. Andrew Cuomo's plan to use $100 million to fix roads across the state.
People living in the area say it will be welcome change. "The potholes now are just getting worse, they pave them, then the stuff they pave with will fall apart and that's coming up the potholes," says Ron Columbo, of North White Plains.
Part of Route 100 in Cortlandt will also be resurfaced.
The projects will take place throughout the summer and into fall, and will be completed this year.
