Best of Brooklyn: Students create Brownsville virtual reality game
Students from the Brownsville Community Justice Center are creating a virtual reality video game of the Brownsville neighborhood to give their hometown a better reputation.
The 40 students work on the game nearly every day after school in order to show Brownsville in their own perspective.
For a year and a half, the students have mapped out the Brownsville neighborhood to take pictures of places they'll be integrating into the game and have interviewed over 100 community members.
The program's deputy director says the game will be available in a few months online and be free of charge.
