State police hold fundraiser for CT Special Olympics

Connecticut State Police hosted a "Tip-A-Cop" event Tuesday to raise donations for the Special Olympics.
State Police Troop G hosted the fundraiser at Brewpoint in Bridgeport.
Organizers say 100 percent of tips officers receive will support the Special Olympics in Connecticut.
Officials from the Special Olympics say police departments are major contributors to the games.
"Without fundraising events like this and all the police departments across the state, we wouldn't be able to do anything at Special Olympics, we wouldn't be able to put on all of our sports competitions, any of our training," says Special Olympics Associate Director Jeff Veneziano.
He says the fundraiser helps raise awareness for all athletes and provide those opportunities for them.
