Two endangered red wolves give birth

Posted: Updated:

Two endangered red wolves have given birth at the Wolf Conservation Center in North Salem.

The organization says two red wolves gave birth to a total of 10 wolf pups last week.

They say "Charlotte" gave birth to four pups, three male and one female, during the afternoon while "Veronica" had six pups, four male and two female, just a few hours later.

The Wolf Conservation Center is part of a program working to support the reestablishment of red wolves in the wild through captive breeding.
