A local teen Turned To Tara to help get her freshman year transcript transferred to her new school.
Briana Micale, who attended Sacred Heart in Yonkers, says the private school wouldn’t release her ninth-grade transcript to her new school due to an outstanding $1,200 tuition bill.
Micale is now a junior at Lincoln High School, and said that if she couldn’t get those credits transferred that she might not be able to graduate.
Micale's mother says she stopped paying the tuition after falling sick several years ago and losing her job.  She says repeated calls and emails to explain her difficult financial situation fell on deaf ears.
“I even called the archdiocese and they said there is nothing we can do,” says Micale’s mom.
News 12 reached out to the New York Archdiocese and it said that Sacred Heart was willing to meet the Micales halfway in terms of payment. The family says school leaders agreed to accept half the amount owed through monthly payments of $75.
