A man faced a judge Tuesday in connection with a wrong-way crash that killed two men in Norwalk in January.
Anthony Domond, 33, faces charges of manslaughter, reckless driving and driving under the influence. He's accused of being high on drugs and speeding into head-on traffic at more than 100 mph, according to his arrest warrant.
Police arrested him at his Stamford home earlier in the day.
According to investigators, Domond slammed into another car head-on on Connecticut Avenue near the Doubletree Inn on Jan. 8. They say he had used PCP before getting behind the wheel.
Stamford residents Frank Peterson III, 50, and Anthony Johnson, 40, were both in the other car. They died at the scene, police say.
Authorities say a witness reported that Domond had been driving erratically, blown a red light and nearly been involved in another collision.
Domond's case was transferred to the courthouse in Stamford, which is routine for cases involving serious charges.
Police say Domond has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions on drug-related charges.
The judge set his bond at $200,000.
