BEDFORD -

Two men from Queens were seriously injured when they got hit by another vehicle on I-684 on Thursday.

Police say the crash happened around 12:30 p.m. near Exit 6 in Katonah. They say the two men were changing a tire on a black Jeep Grand Cherokee when a Honda Civic operated by Mark Manzi, 33, of Harrison, left the roadway and struck one man and the Jeep.  The Jeep was then forced into the other man.

Officials say the two men were taken to Westchester Medical Center with serious injuries.

The northbound lanes of I-684 were closed for most of the day with car parts scattered across the highway. All lanes were reopened by 5:30 p.m.
