A Hudson Valley man is honoring his dad, a lifelong Yankees fan, at a cancer walk in the Bronx next week.
Tony Truscello, 64, will be walking for his dad Joseph — who lost his battle with lung cancer April 15, 1994 — at Yankee Stadium.
For the event, he has raised $1,500 and recruited dozens of others to join the 5K with him.
Truscello was the former head football coach at Beacon High School, and he still teaches middle school science.
He says he is grateful for those standing with him at the Yankee Stadium 5K.
"I'm just overwhelmed by the amount of support and people coming out and making donations," Truscello says.
