Fire erupts at Yonkers home, quickly spreads next door

A fire erupted in Yonkers and quickly spread to a next door home.
It happened on Chestnut Street Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters rushed to put out the flames of the two-story home.
Crews say it took them around a half hour to put it out, but not before the fire spread to the home next door.
One pregnant woman did suffer minor smoke inhalation.
News 12 has now learned that two cats died in the two-alarm fire on Saturday.
No other major injuries were reported.
