Rockland County police chase ends in crash

NYACK -

A police pursuit ended in a crash near a house in Rockland County.

Officials say they tried to pull over Jonathan Bermudez, age 31, of Queens, for a vehicle and traffic violation on I-87 in Greenburgh around 11 p.m. They say Bermudez sped off in his Jeep Liberty, leading officers on a short chase until he crashed into a rock wall on South Boulevard in Nyack.
No injuries were reported.

Bermudez, who has a previous DWI, refused to take a breath or blood test to determine if alcohol or drugs were in his system.  Bermudez has been charged DWI and multiple vehicle and traffic violations. He is due back in court in April.
