PHILIPSTOWN -

State police are working to crack a cold case in Putnam County.

A man's body was found in a wooded area off of Route 301, in the town of Philipstown back in 1985. Investigators are now releasing some forensic facial reconstruction pictures and a sketch which were made to show what the man may have looked like.  Police have also released a photo which shows a few belongings found on the man.

The man’s remains indicated that he was a white male, possibly between the ages of 27 to 35.  He is thought to have been 5 feet 10 inches tall, and had brown hair.  Dental records and DNA have not yet led to the man’s identity.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call police at (845) 298-0952.
