A pottery shop in Brooklyn is offering customers a chance to be creative.
Whether you're channeling Michelangelo or the movie 'Ghost' the Painted Pot is allowing people to create their own clay masterpieces or decorate pottery.
With locations in Cobble Hill, Bay Ridge and Park Slope, owner Lisa Mendoza says it's the kind of fun you can really get hands on with.
The business also offers classes for children and adults to either paint pottery, create glass fusion and mosaics, acrylic canvas painting, and even make their own creation on the potter’s wheel.
Mendoza says she worked in television until 1998 when she decided to pursue her passion for pottery.
She says she always wanted a place she hoped would become family friendly.
"There weren't that many family oriented businesses and that was on my mind. I knew I wanted a family and I wanted to leave my day job so I figured I would take my love of pottery and try to make a living of it," Mendoza says.
Children and adults say it's a great way to express their creativity.
