Snow makes Rockland roads treacherous

SUFFERN -

The nor’easter made for a treacherous evening commute on Rockland roads.

Traffic lights went out for a short time on Route 59 in Suffern and cars have gotten stuck.

Drivers told News 12 that the roads were passable if drivers took it slowly.

Suffern’s mayor said the village would work overtime to keep Route 59 as clear as possible since it’s one of the main access roads to a hospital.

Ramapo police asked residents to stay off the roads.

Suffern's mayor tells News 12 that the village is ready for the storm.

Sarah Toland gives an update on conditions in West Nyack.
